Top North Carolina facility will use electronic forms software to paperlessly interface patient registration forms into electronic health records (EHRs) in MEDITECH Client Server
Albemarle Hospital, a full-service medical center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, that is part of Albermarle Health, has selected Access Intelligent Forms Suite (IFS) (http://accessefm.com/Products/Access-Intelligent-Forms-Suite-IFS/Access-Intelligent-Forms-Suite-IFS-Healthcare.aspx) to meet is electronic forms and workflow automation needs.
Instead of relying on costly and inefficient pre-printed paper forms, registration clerks and clinicians will use Access IFS to print barcoded forms on demand, with patient demographics applied through integration with MEDITECH Client Server (http://accessefm.com/Products/Access-Enterprise-Forms-Management-Integrations/Forms-Management-Integrations-HIS/Integrations-HIS-MEDITECH.aspx). The barcodes will then be utilized by Albemarle Hospital’s TSG Galactica document management system to auto-index patients’ forms with their electronic health records (EHRs), eliminating the need for time-consuming and error-prone manual data entry.
In addition, Albemarle Hospital plans to deploy Access Image Portal, which will enable the facility to paperlessly interface e-forms into EHRs (http://accessefm.com/Products/Access-Portals-Enterprise-Document-Data/Access-Image-Portal/Access-Image-Portal.aspx). This seamless process will make forms data available across the facility, without the typical delays associated with pre-printed paper forms.
