PACS Product Manager

Skinner and Associates (www.SkinnerandAssociates.com ) is a Healthcare Imaging and Informatics recruiting firm specializing in PACS and RIS. We are currently looking for a PACS Product Manager for one of the major PACS Vendors.

Position Description –



We are looking for an experienced product manager who will manage and coordinate all product related activities for assigned product line(s) in order to yield profit performance consistent with corporate objects. Duties include:

· Define overall product strategy, product roadmap and lifecycle management.

· Specify products through the creation of clear concise Product Requirements, Change Requests and Use Case documents and create product business plan and pricing models.

· Drive market and competitive research and surveys to determine customer needs for new products and for enhancements to existing products and analyze and maintain complete competitive information and market intelligence files for product lines.

· Coordinate New Product Introduction with the cross functional teams (especially engineering, marketing communications, technical support services and sales) to ensure that go-to-market strategies match target market requirements and opportunities


· Serve as primary business unit interface for sales for all product related issues and support cross-functional teams as needed

· Provide Marketing feedback to weekly review of defects found in both Software Quality and in the field. In particular, provide guidance as to severity and importance of defects.

· Review and approve requests for special product configurations and modifications.

· Exercise responsibility for technical training and provide expertise to Marketing, Sales, Applications and other employees. This includes product demonstrations and customer presentations as well as the development of sales tools including PowerPoint presentations, competitive matrices, authoring white papers, collaterals and training material.

· Attend major trade shows as demonstrator to assist the sales effort and gain competitive market information.

· Ability and willingness to participate in general team discussion and perform additional activities and fill-in for other team members as needed

· Assist Regulatory Affairs team with 510(k) submissions.

· Willing to travel 25%



Our ideal candidate will possess the following education, skill set and experience:

· BS in technical, clinical or business field or equivalent experience. MBA Preferred.

· 7-10 overall work experience with 3-5 years individual product management/product marketing experience in healthcare software.

· Extensive, up-to-date knowledge of PACS products, features and benefits, market dynamics, and competitive landscape

· Hands on experience with at least one PACS from a major vendor.

· General understanding of image production and processing in Radiology (e.g. X-ray, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound)

· Proven ability to successfully manage the product lifecycle of complex enterprise software.

· Proven ability to identify key customer requirements and translate them into detailed product requirements for next generation products.

· Extremely driven individual that is able to successfully execute on multiple tasks simultaneously

· Strong product champion.

· Strong verbal, written communication skills and excellent presentation and demonstration and business strategy skills.

· Ability to work with senior management and technical teams to produce world-class products.

· Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills


The salary range for this position is $80K - $135K.
