Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager / Implementation Analyst to lead and direct the implementation and support of electronic medical records in hospitals. This is a great opportunity for someone with professional healthcare informatics experience. Strong project management skills are a must as you will manage high profile projects with a wide range of hospital personnel throughout the U.S.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Determine project requirements by working closely with hospital personnel to understand their needs, implement and support clinical solutions, and provide end user training.
- Assume overall responsibility in preparing project work plan while working with the client and project team.
- Identify scope of project and key objectives in collaboration with client administration, IT Director and other key members.
- Implement the project plan by monitoring specifications and ensuring the execution of project activities and tasks to produce project deliverables on-time and on-budget.
- Develop long-term relationships with client administration, physicians and staff by working in a partnership role to optimize the use of all features and functions of the system or upgrade.
- Document and present project plan, progressions, variances and timelines.
- Effectively communicate roadblocks and identify mitigation strategies for project risks.
- Schedule and conduct regular project core team meetings.

- Supervise testing of clinical and financial software.
- Work with client IT staff and project team members to ensure a smooth transition to application support status after go live.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in computer science, information technology, health care sciences or related field.
- PMP certification a plus.
- 5+ years experience in managing EMR implementation projects.
- 3+ years experience in nursing/clinical environment a plus.
- Knowledge of SQL database, Crystal Reporting, Microsoft office software.
- Knowledge of the principles and processes of the hospital environment with focus on the nursing and clinical application areas desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to travel at least 75%.
