Default Sutter Health to Accelerate Acute EHR

At Sutter Health we’re accelerating implementation of our electronic health record (EHR) system in our hospitals across our not-for-profit network, and expect this more aggressive roll out approach will require an estimated $400 million investment to complete ambulatory and acute care installs within the next five years.

We learned a great deal from our nationally-recognized installation at Mills-Peninsula Health Services last year and plan on launching multiple, simultaneous hospital installs across each of our five service regions through 2015.

This accelerated approach requires tremendous preparation. We will complete our prep work through 2010 and plan to have five additional hospitals within the South Bay and Central Valley (Sutter Maternity & Surgery Center of Santa Cruz, Menlo Park Surgical Hospital, Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Hospital Los Banos and Sutter Tracy Community Hospital) live on our EHR next year.
