Default Discuss Misys announcements 7/2207

Since I have to work for a living on Monday, I won't necessarily be able to post HIStalk updates as any news breaks and to get your comments online quickly. Post here! You can bet that Misys, QuadraMed, Vista, investment analysts, and everybody else in the industry wants to know what you think.

Default Homecare?

Absent from all the notices is anything about the Misys Homecare division. I assume they are remaining untouched from the turmoil? Anyone know?

Default More to come I bet

Many sales leaders are being given the choice to take severance or carry a bag..surely not a happy time for a lot of folks (and their families.) Suppose it is good that they are getting leaner but I bet a lot of great sales talent will decide to move on down the road - and eventually compete with Misys. Should be an interesting next few days to see how it all shakes out.

Under the "reconstruction" plan it seems Misys is reducing (eliminating?) what were formerly known as "sales directors" and making something that sounds like regional general managers. The known survivors so far include Gray Mason, Bruce MacLeod, Vanessa McDonald, Scott Heaton, Dave Fotias.

A number of senior sales reps who worked with the "Premier" clients (the ones with the highest recurring revenues) were also offered standard sales positions and given 24 hours to decide what they wanted to do.

Kelley Schudy, Senior VP of sales for the Physician Group, is also possibly leaving.

"Preimier clients?" So does that mean NY Health and Hospital Corp.? I can't think of another that would qualify...

Quadramed sales folks must be jumping for joy...they no longer are walking the ugliest dog at the dog show.
