After a successful pilot, Maryland-based Adventist HealthCare has expanded KATE AI systemwide across its emergency departments, enabling nurses to spot high-risk conditions and improve patient flow.
KATE AI analyzes patient symptoms against historical data to help identify high-risk conditions, improve triage accuracy, and reduce wait times, while nurses remain the final decision-makers.
Early results show increased clinical efficiency and strong staff acceptance.
This enhanced clinical efficiency can help reduce emergency wait times, time to admit or discharge decision, and the days patients might spend in the hospital if they are admitted.
