Medicomp Systems Achieves Implementation Milestones Across Southeast Asia
Increasing number of hospitals adopting AI-driven Quippe to improve clinical documentation and clinical decision support
HERNDON, Va., Sept. 8, 2025 -- Medicomp Systems, a leading provider of evidence-based clinical AI-powered solutions, continues to expand into Southeast Asia, adding to the number of hospitals, providers and patients who experience the benefits of its data-centric, AI-driven Quippe® clinical documentation and clinical decision support solutions. Quippe now facilitates clinical workflows in 11 hospitals in Malaysia, Thailand, and other countries in the region.
This milestone would not be possible without the close partnership of APUK, Co., Ltd., Medicomp's global implementation partner based in Bangkok, Thailand. The APUK team provides Medicomp with invaluable feedback on optimizing and updating Quippe to meet and exceed the needs of providers in the region.
Medicomp will be showcasing Quippe's robust clinical data capabilities at Hospital Management Asia 2025 September 10-11 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
"Quippe's growing population of users is largely due to its ability to streamline processes, accelerate clinical workflows, and support organizational standards, while enabling clinicians to design and adapt workflows that meet the specific needs of their institutions—regardless of the EMR they are using or where in the world they are," said Piyanun Yenjit, founder and managing director of APUK. "With Quippe, hospitals are driving improvements in multidisciplinary care planning and documentation, as well as improving the quality of clinical data for decision support."
The implementation of Quippe, with its robust structured data, terminology mappings, and clinical intelligence engine, is also benefiting organizations seeking to achieve advanced HIMSS EMRAM and Joint Commission certifications. For example, the 433-bed Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) adopted Quippe last year, decreasing physical chart use from 100% to just 6% of encounters and achieving 95% electronic clinical documentation adoption within 90 days. IJN is now the first Malaysian hospital to have achieved Stage 6 EMRAM certification and is on track to receive Stage 7 review soon.
"We are thrilled with the enthusiasm of Quippe users across the region, as evidenced at our well-attended Medicomp U event earlier this year in Bangkok. We are also pleased by the growing interest from HIS vendors seeking to optimize their systems to meet the needs of their hospital clients," said David Lareau, CEO of Medicomp Systems. "APUK is doing a tremendous job to understand the needs of these organizations, as well as providing implementation and support services that give them the tools they need to achieve their documentation, clinical decision support, and regulatory goals."
Medicomp anticipates further expansion of its global footprint in Asia and the Middle East by the end of 2025.
